Trinidad and Tobago Proposes Tax Changes Expected to Raise US$63 Million
The fiscal 2027 budget presented on 23 October 2026 proposes limiting businesses’ use of carried-forward tax losses to 75% of chargeable profits from January 2027. The measure is expected to raise approximately US$63 million, while other proposals include extending VAT to digital services supplied by non-resident providers; these are budget proposals and should not be treated as enacted changes without confirmation of the legislative process.
